"The 1.3x crop remains from the previous 1D Mk III – I’d have preferred full frame – but many will not see this as a disadvantage."

Then you'll have to wait for the 1Ds, canon has always made the differentiation with their pro bodies.

Canon is getting more like those 3 "wise" monkeys "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"....
Holly crap!!!!...
Just be decent and create a GREAT CAMERA with HD pro video from 24 60..with sound, ( you all the best qualities of 5DmkII, D7 , 1D Mk III and more rolled/wrapped into ONE CAMERA, ONE CAMERA !!) and stop milking..robbing your costumers .

Look .after all this years of R&D...after all the forums...after one Red, after Magic Lantern ( with no money ) create some amazing firmware..you Guys came with this fragmentation of products

This is a Crime ..this is unforgiven ..After so much financial loyalty from your customers Canon should know better What kind of corporate executives can devolpe such a pedestrian, amateur strategy..How can they justify their salaries...waste of time , money, R&D, Marketing budget ..and prime resources...I could create a much better company strategy...

Just give to the customers the camera they really want..and excellent camera... Talk to them Have Canon ever bothered to contact the Magic Lantern guys???..To the fat Canon Executives: have you ever bothered listened to your costumers? Shame on you..shame on you...

We live in a time that we should ..we can not waste anymore prime resources ...This planet need need more people like Jim Jannard ..a visionary with absolute respect for his costumers!!!!

"Audio is the main area where there has been little change, with the minijack mic input still being limited to automatic gain control"
I find that omission rather suprising indeed... especially considering that the Magic Lantern 5DmkII firmware has shown it can be (relatively) easily implemented...
